Ron Helms started Eagles Up Unlimited many years ago with this goal in mind: Freedom to provide an opportunity, through our associations, for individuals, families, businesses, non-profits and churches to soar to greater heights by applying Biblical Eagle Principles of growth, independence, strength and security to our endeavors.

Ron attended North Carolina State College, Wingate College and Auburn University (War Eagle!), getting A.S.C.E., B.S.C.E and B.S.B.S. (Engineering and Biology) degrees.

He served in the US Army Engineers from 1964-1967 with a tour of duty in Korea.

He was a structural designer at Roberts and Schaefer in Chicago, designing structure for processing plants in the coal mining industry. The strip mining aspects of that drove me back to college to get the Wildlife Biology degree and work with environmental process as a Wildlife Officer for the State of North Carolina.

He ran a hardware business and serviced maintenance needs of industrial plants, government facilities and small businesses in Eastern North Carolina. That led him into Network Marketing, where he is to this day, serving the needs of folks for Internet Service, computers, communications, International marketing, finance and various other projects.

Met my lovely wife, Gail, in Chicago and been marvelously hitched for 39 years now! Daren, our son, came along while we were in Bath, NC, and, of course,  we really enjoyed his High School sports years where he helped win State Championships in both football and basketball. He is a Chef in Wilmington, NC at this time. Daren and his bride, Crystal, are expecting our first grandson in December. (In fact, I need to add here now, that Joshua was born at 5:30 PM EST in Wilmington, NC, 11-09-05. It is great to be a Grandpa and, obviously, Joshua is almost three now.)
